Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer\nLocation: Sheffield\nSalary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum\nType: Permanent\n\n We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial projects, taking designs from concept through to detailed engineering and manufacture.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nDesign mechanical components, assemblies, and industrial machinery using SolidWorks.\nProduce detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models.\nDesign sheet metal components and welded fabrications to manufacturing standards.\nSupport projects from concept through to manufacture and delivery.\nLiaise with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.\nGenerate BOMs and technical documentation.\nSupport prototype builds, testing, and design improvements.Skills & Experience Required:\n\nStrong experience using SolidWorks (essential).\nBackground in mechanical design within industrial machinery, fabrication, or similar environments.\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in Mechanical Design.\nGood understanding of manufacturing processes.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively.\nBSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Design Engineering, or similar.If you or anyone you know is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer role, click apply or send your up-to-date CV to (url removed)
