Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Sanger, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design of components, assemblies, and complete machinery/systems
• BOM creation and maintenance and the use of comprehensive MRP/ERP systems
• Provide robust engineering support to both, internal and external contacts, from concept through implementation
• Effective and timely execution of multiple engineering projects within a team-based environment

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in mechanical design of capital equipment
• BS/BSE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5-years experience designing complex electro-mechanical projects, preferably packaging machinery
• Proven experience designing to meet DLS (Design for LeanSigma) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) processes
• Demonstrated proficiency with Solidworks and/or other 3D parametric CAD modeling systems, including all aspects of modeling and illustration creation
• Proven knowledge of machine tool processes; sheet metal forming, laser cutting, milling, grinding, lathes, welding technologies, etc.
• Proven knowledge of material characteristics used in machinery design; stainless steel, alloys, plastics, composites, etc.
• Effective verbal and written communications and demonstrated mature technical judgement
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Ability to lead project teams to execute projects on time and under budget
