Job Description
ROLE- Mechanical Engineer
TERM- Permanent
LOCATION – Liverpool
SALARY- £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience)
My client designs and manufactures equipment for Pharmaceutical industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
- Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with machinery would be beneficial
- experience within the pharmaceutical industry is beneficial
- A background in Water related industries would also be ideal – Specifically waste water!
- Be proficient using 3D CAD software, they use SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
- Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
- Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
- Designing machinery in the Pharmaceutical sector
- Liaising with manufacturing providers and clients
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Updating 3D models and drawings
- Creating BOMs
- Checking drawings for sign off
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
