Mechanical Design Engineer: We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a growing engineering and technology business based in Leeds. Working as part of an established R&D team, you will be involved in the development of innovative products from concept through to manufacture. This is primarily an office-based role with occasional travel as projects require.\n\nThe successful Mechanical Design Engineer will take ownership of the design of components, enclosures, and assemblies used within technically challenging applications.

Experience designing sheet metal fabrications, plastic mouldings, mechanical housings, or products containing electronic components would be particularly beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for engineering excellence and ongoing investment in product development.\n\nMechanical Design Engineer - Role & Responsibilities – CAD / Mechanical / R&D\n\nCreate detailed component and assembly designs using 2D and 3D CAD.\nProduce engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation.\nSupport prototype builds, testing, and product validation activities.\nAssist with the development of technical literature and training materials.\nProvide technical support to the sales team on bespoke customer requirements.\nWork closely with manufacturing and other engineering disciplines throughout the product lifecycle.\n\nMechanical Design Engineer - Candidate Profile - CAD / Mechanical / R&D\n\nDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\nExperience using 2D and 3D CAD packages such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or similar.\nUnderstanding of modern manufacturing methods, materials, and design for manufacture principles.\nExperience designing mechanical assemblies, enclosures, housings, or fabricated components would be advantageous.\nIf you are a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join an innovative, R&D-focused engineering business with excellent long-term career prospects, we'd be keen to hear from you
