Mechanical Design Engineer required for an innovative Engineering company supplying Educational markets with unique products.
This company invest significantly in research and development of their products, ensuring they remain the supplier of choice for prestigious academic institutions.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be easily able to commute to HALIFAX from surrounding towns & cities, including Brighouse, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford and more.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer will include:
Design complex products based on customer specifications and requirements, offering detailed solutions
Produce and maintain Bill of Materials for individual products
Generate costing estimates by sourcing new components both existing and bespoke
Write technical documentation including user manuals and product specifications
Perform product demonstrations both internally and externally to customers and end usersFor the Mechanical Design Engineer, we are keen to receive CV's from candidates who possess:
Knowledge of basic machining, sheet metal, and bending processes
Knowledge of material selection for appropriate applications
Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer 2+ years
Experience using Solidworks PDM
BEng Degree in Mechanical EngineeringSalary & Benefits:
Up to £46,000 (depending on experience)
