Job Description

Escape Recruitment's client is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team at their manufacturing plant based in the outskirts of Glasgow. They are an established engineering company with a reputation for supplying high quality engineered products to the Oil and Petrochemical, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing Process and Power industries, amongst others.

The Role

• Working as part of the Engineering team and reporting to the Engineering Manager.
• Creation of 3D Models, 2D CAD drawings for In-house Manufacturing and Customer General Arrangements.
• Producing Bills of Materials on Microsoft Dynamics AX (MRP system), Design, Testing & Approval of new Products.

The Candidate

• Proficient in the use of MS Office based software
• Also proficient in Solidworks 3D and DraftSight 2D CAD packages
• Experience in the use of an MRP system
• Qualified to HND/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or CAD
• A working knowledge of both Pressure Equipment Directive & ATEX is desirable
