ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)\n\nTERM- Permanent\n\nLOCATION - Chelmsford\n\nSALARY- £45,000 - £55,000, dependent on experience \n\nMy client works within the building services industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Chelmsford area on a permanent basis.\n\nThe Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nAt least 5 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position\nPrevious experience in a similar role in a Building services or Industrial environment\nBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.\nDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar\nGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nProficient using MS Office\nExperience with thermal structure & HVAC sizing\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team \n\n The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\nInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs\nChecking drawings for sign off\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \n\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
