As a result of recent contract awards we are looking to expand our team in 2026, as such we invite applicants to apply for a position to join our Mechanical Contracts Team within our Head Office where we provide total engineering support to our directly employed Mechanical and Electrical Installation Engineers, including:-\n\n * \n\n * Contract Management Teams\n\n * Design Department\n\n * Estimating Department\n\n * CAD / BIM Management Teams\n\nAt this time we are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Contracts Manager who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, a good team player but equally able to work on their own initiative.\n\nThe successful candidate should be capable of demonstrating previous successful experience of managing Mechanical projects within the range of £(phone number removed) to £(phone number removed), to be able to work under their own initiative from receipt of initial design brief to completion of the design for implementation by our contract management and site operating teams.\n\nCandidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and trade qualifications representative of a\nMechanical Design Engineer (Building Services), educated to HND / HNC or degree level in Building Services Engineering.\n\nExcellent knowledge of Building Services Design & software packages would be essential and a good understanding of Estimating, CAD & BIM, Revit packages would be an advantage.\n\nSome knowledge of a computer based Estimation package, MS project or Asta Powerproject and a good working knowledge of Excel and Word would be an advantage.\n\nReferences will be required for this position.\n\nOutline Brief of Requirements\n\nRead, understand and scrutinise Specifications.\n\nDesign Mechanical Services Systems from Architects’ Drawings and / or Room Data Sheets:-\n\n * Domestic Services Installation\n\n * Ventilation\n\n * Heating\n\n * Comfort Cooling\n\n * Air Conditioning\n\n * Public Health Installation\n\nDesign & Build experience is essential\n\nA good working knowledge of current regulations including HTM’s\n\nA good working knowledge of BMS & Control Systems.\n\nAbility to carry out site visits and surveys.\n\nAbility to meet Clients, Consultants and Professional Teams.\n\nAbility to present the design to the Professional and Contract Management teams.\n\nAbility to work in a team.\n\nAbility to work to programme deadlines and timescales.\n\nAn appreciation of business demands.\n\nGood documentation and presentation skills.\n\nThe willingness to undertake further design training as relevant to the position.\n\nThe Finer Details\n\nThe successful candidate would be primarily based in our Head Office working Monday to Friday, 09.00- 17.30 hours.
