Mechanical Design Engineer\nIndustry: Scientific Instrumentation\nLocation: North London\nSalary: £45,000 – £55,000\n\nA growing technology company at the forefront of scientific research and instrumentation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team. The company develops complex, high-precision systems used across a wide range of industries.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of next- systems, tackling issues associated with precision instrumentation. You’ll play a key role in taking products from concept through to manufacture, working in a multi-disciplinary team where innovation and problem-solving are highly valued.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n+ Design and develop precision components and mechanisms\n+ Take products from early stage concepts to production\n+ Specify and integrate motorised chamber mechanisms and actuators\n+ Develop fabricated, machined, and formed parts, from specification to testing\n+ Produce detailed CAD models and engineering drawings\n+ Support prototyping, assembly, and testing of new systems\n\nKey Requirements:\n+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field\n+ 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design and product development\n+ Strong 3D CAD skills - SolidWorks\n+ Experience in electro-mechanical products, scientific instrumentation or control systems\n+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes - fabrication, machining, and 3D printing\n+ Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 quality systems\n\nIf you’re an innovative Mechanical Design Engineer looking to apply your skills in the development of cutting-edge precision instrumentation, we’d love to hear from you.
