Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Project Engineer required to join a world-leading HVAC Solutions provider.

The Mechanical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Project Engineer will be responsible for the full design scope taking works from tender review, equipment selection to final sign-off of HVAC products including mechanical ventilation, fire and smoke dampers, control panels and smoke extract fans for residential and commercial projects.

The Mechanical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Project Engineer should possess smoke control industry design knowledge. Those coming from an M&E Building Services design focused background will be considered.

Mechanical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Project Engineer role:

    \n
  • Delivering full project design scope of HVAC products including mechanical ventilation, fire and smoke dampers, control panels and smoke extract fans for residential and commercial projects
  • \n

  • Supporting projects team to ensure timely and effective design input for a multitude of ongoing works
  • \n

  • Undertaking selection process of fans, smoke ventilation and more
  • \n

  • Working closely with in-house departments to develop overall design understanding
  • \n

  • Able to travel to the office in Birmingham
  • \n

Mechanical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Project Engineer requirements:

    \n
  • Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Technical Engineer from the smoke control industry or background in M&E Building Services design.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of M&E systems and design principles
  • \n

  • Ability to liaise with M&E Contractors, M&E Contractors and clients
  • \n

  • Technical expertise of schematics, fan selection and regulatory compliance
  • \n

  • Able to travel to the office near Birmingham
  • \n
