Mechanical Design Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering firm, in a permanent position. Our client is looking to build their Mechanical team, so Senior and Engineer level applications will be considered.



This is a great opportunity to work on water and wastewater projects with an experienced team. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis - 3 days in our clients Birmingham office, 2 days working from home.



-Flexible working and hybrid arrangement.



-Competitive salary between £45,000-£62,000 (depending on experience).



Key Responsibilities:



-Design mechanical installations and ensure alignment with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.



-Coordinate with internal teams, clients, authorities, contractors, and suppliers throughout all project phases.



-Conduct site surveys and support feasibility, outline, and detailed design work.



-Contribute to bids, business development, and technical standards, including procedures and specifications.



-Mentor colleagues, drive innovation, support digital tool adoption, and represent the company in knowledge-sharing forums and conferences.



What we are looking for:



-Degree-qualified in mechanical engineering.



-Strong UK water/wastewater experience.



-Proven leadership and technical skills, including team, project, or multi-discipline management.



-Proficient in 3D design tools and relevant engineering software.



-Chartered engineer (or working towards) with a recognised professional institution
