Mechanical Design Engineer

Attention all Mechanical Design Engineers!



Blueprint Recruitment are looking to speak with Senior Mechanical Design Engineer's to join a reputable turnkey contractor on a long-term contract basis in London.



Our client specialises in mechanical and electrical services, interior fit-out and critical infrastructure solutions for Commercial Offices, Data Centres, Retail and Public Sectors.



The successful candidate will have experience working on mission critical projects for a consultancy or contractor and will be required to attend the office/site on a hybrid basis in Tower Hamlets.



Key Responsibilities:



-Design mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating) to meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.



-Create technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical systems.



-Collaborate with other engineers to integrate mechanical systems with architectural and structural designs.



-Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements and are on track.



-Ensure all designs comply with industry best practices and project specifications.



Key Requirements:



-A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.



-Experience working on data centre projects for a consultancy or contractor (ideally with a history of detailed design experience)



-Proven experience in mechanical design engineering.



-Strong knowledge of building services and mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.



-Extensive experience using mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, IESVE, or similar).



-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



-Familiarity with relevant building regulations, standards, and sustainability practices
