Mechanical Design Engineer\nLocation: Peterborough\nTerm: Permanent\nSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum\n\n An engineering company based in Peterborough is looking to expand their team by hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects within a supportive and growing design team.\n\n The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following:\n\nDegree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field\n\n2+ years of experience in mechanical design\n\nProficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks)\n\nKnowledge of materials, fabrication, and manufacturing processes\n\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\nGood communication and teamworking skills\n\nAttention to detail and a proactive attitudeThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nDesigning components and assemblies using CAD\n\nCreating and updating technical drawings and BOMs\n\nSupporting product development from concept through to manufacture\n\nLiaising with other departments to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability\n\nModifying existing designs based on performance feedback or customer requirements\n\nContributing to continuous improvement within the design function\n\nIf you are interested in this role, please apply with your most recent CV along with your availability and salary expectations
