Currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Wichita, Kansas who designs, manufactures, overhauls, and repairs aircraft instruments, avionics, and advanced power solutions for the global aerospace industry.

Position Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll lead the design and development of new products, integrating both new and existing technologies. You’ll collaborate on concept development, prototyping, testing, and production launch. This role supports a global customer base in general, business, and commercial aviation. You’re a great fit if you have:

• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in electromechanical design or SolidWorks
• Advanced skills in 3D modeling using SolidWorks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritize effectively

 What You’ll Do:

• Optimize mechanical designs balancing performance, size, weight, cost, and timelines
• Apply knowledge of extrusions, sheet metal, machining, molding, and electrical systems
• Research and integrate new technologies and materials
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and documentation in SolidWorks
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and qualification testing standards
• Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain BOMs in ERP systems
• Author manufacturing work instructions and design tooling/fixtures
• Evaluate and qualify parts and vendors

Estimated Min Rate: $80500.00
Estimated Max Rate: $115000.00
