You will like\n\nDesigning mechanical systems from Manchester office with hybrid working #WFH for specialist construction and engineering consultancy/contractor with blue chip clients and landmark projects in UK Utilities water & rail sectors where they are known for design & installation of complex infrastructure for civil & mechanical/electrical projects.\n\nYou will like\n\nThe Mechanical Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer job itself where you will play a key role in a friendly and focussed engineering design team with a growing work bank. You will be working closely with a wide range of clients, across a number of disciplines within the UK rail and utilities industries, however focusing particularly in the water sector, with a strategic strategic partner. More specifically:\n\nProvide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.\n\t\nProduce design calculations and drawings for the water industry\n\t\nDirect and develop CAD technicians.\n\t\nPrepare scopes for and check output of subcontract M&E design teams\n\t\nLiaise with, prepare specifications for and review tender responses from equipment suppliers and manufacturers\n\t\nPrepare design investigations, reports and specifications.\n\t\nDesign in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.\n\t\nEnsure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.\n\t\nEstimate hours required for design packages\n\t\nPresent at and attend meetings and design presentations\n\nYou will have\n\nTo be successful as Mechanical Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer you will have a good mix of the following:\n\n5 years’ mechanical design experience in the UK water industry\n\t\nGraduate, HND or significant experience from technician level\n\t\nGood level IT\n\t\nRegistered with professional body and working towards chartership\n\nYou will get\n\nAs a Mechanical Design Engineer you will enjoy competitive salary of £50K-£65K DOE.\n\nPlus an excellent package for permanent staff, including an employee benefits scheme, workplace pension scheme, and training and development opportunities.\n\nYou can apply\n\nTo Mechanical Design Engineer by pushing the button on this job posting (recommended), or by sending CV in confidence to (url removed)\n\nUK_MS
