The Role



As an Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of Mechanical Products. You will be responsible for producing detailed designs and control philosophies, ensuring systems are compliant, efficient, and integrated to the highest standards.



* Creating 3D CAD models, assemblies and producing 2D drawings using PTC Creo and AutoCAD.



* Maintaining existing product lines – assisting in updating and improving drawings and models using official EAN procedures.



* Value Engineering projects / product improvements



* Creating, developing and maintaining product instruction and operating manuals along with other product/sales literature.



* Preparation of designs, calculations, specifications, and tender documentation as part of the project team.



Key Requirements



* Educational qualifications to B.Sc./B.Eng equivalent in Engineering



* 3 plus years’ experience designing piece part components



* Understanding of geometrical tolerances



* Good level of competence using 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD



* Good Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo or Solidworks.



* Experience of BoM creation and control within CAD package.



Job Type: Full-time



Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year

* Any marine / mechanical background is also advantageous but not essential.
