Our client – a UK leader in advanced engineering for the defence sector – is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their high-performing team. You'll be working on cutting-edge naval technologies and bespoke electromechanical systems used in extreme marine environments.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
- Leading mechanical design across full product lifecycles.
- Ensuring compliance with shock, thermal, and EMC standards.
- Supporting cross-functional teams including electrical, systems, and production.
- Contributing to design reviews, continuous improvement, and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have:
- Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong CAD proficiency (Autodesk Inventor ).
- Understanding of fabrication, castings, welding, and mechanical materials.
- Familiarity with structured engineering processes and gated reviews.
- UK – must be eligible for security clearance.
Nice-to-Have:
- Background in rotating machinery, systems integration, or electromechanical products.
- Experience working in defence or regulated sectors.
