ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer\n\nLOCATION - Coventry\n\nTERM- Permanent\n\nSALARY- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience\n\nMy client is a manufacturer of specialist products for a variety of sectors, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Coventry area.\n\nExperience within the Motor or Aerospace sector is desired, but not a necessity.\n\nThe Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar\nPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment\nBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.\nGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team\nHave the ability to carry out mechanical calculations\nAny previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nProficient using MS Office\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills \n\n The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nWorking within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers\nProducing 3D designs using OnShape and 2D designs with AutoCAD\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\nInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs\nChecking drawings for sign off\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \n\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
