Join an established engineering business as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in the development of innovative machinery and precision-engineered systems. You'll support the design and development of complex machinery from concept through to manufacture, while gaining valuable experience in a variety of engineering disciplines, including risk assessments, compliance, and technical documentation.



What you'll be doing:



Support all aspects of machine design, including both conceptual and detailed engineering.

Ensure designs meet Machinery Directive and legislative standards.

Assist with Risk Assessments and FMEA as part of project safety and reliability.

Participate in and organise multi-disciplinary design reviews.

Help produce technical documentation including specifications, manuals, and operation/maintenance guides.

Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to support smooth project delivery.

Provide on-site or remote technical service support, where required.



What you'll bring:



A degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.

Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor or similar).

Enthusiasm for mechanical design and precision engineering.

A strong eye for detail and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Knowledge of engineering standards, risk assessment practices, or Machinery Directive (a plus, not essential).
