Plumbing / Mechanical Contracts Manager – Northwest | £52,000–£58,000 DOE + Car Allowance\n\nAshley Services are working with a growing building services contractor delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across the Northwest. Due to continued expansion, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical / Plumbing Contracts Manager.\n\nThis is a key role for someone who can take full ownership of projects—from design through to handover—while managing multiple sites and maintaining high standards.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll oversee a mix of:\n\n * Residential developments (new builds, apartments, refurbishments, executive homes)\n\n * Commercial projects (education, healthcare, warehousing)\n\nA hands-on role within a fast-paced, growing business.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Manage mechanical & plumbing packages across multiple projects\n\n * Deliver projects on time and within budget\n\n * Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and developers\n\n * Review drawings/specifications and ensure compliance\n\n * Control costs, valuations, and variations\n\n * Maintain quality standards (NHBC / building regs)\n\n * Lead health & safety across sites\n\n * Attend client/site meetings and report progress\n\n * Support tendering and upcoming works\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * Proven Contracts Manager experience within mechanical/plumbing (residential)\n\n * Strong knowledge of domestic heating & plumbing systems\n\n * Experience on multi-unit residential schemes\n\n * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\n\n * Strong commercial awareness\n\n * Confident communicator and team leader\n\n * Experience working alongside electrical contractors\n\nQualifications\n\n * NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical / Building Services\n\n * SMSTS ()\n\n * CSCS (Manager level)\n\n * Gas Safe (desirable)\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n * £52,000 – £58,000 DOE\n\n * Car allowance\n\n * Career progression opportunities\n\n * Supportive and growing environment\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nA great opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of work and real opportunities to progress.\n\nApply now or contact us for a confidential discussion
