Mechanical Contracts Manager – Hospital – Exeter\n\nOur client is a Main Contractor with a proven track record of nationwide coverage of various projects. Specialising in MEP install, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Exeter on a Hospital Construction build until Christmas and then move to another project in Plymouth for 2 years.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Oversee project delivery – Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical packages within the hospital project, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.\n\n * Manage subcontractors and suppliers – Procure, appoint, and oversee mechanical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and project milestones.\n\n * Programme and progress control – Develop and monitor detailed project programmes, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders.\n\n * Stakeholder coordination – Act as the key point of contact between the client, design consultants, main contractor team, and specialist trades, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of issues.\n\n * Commercial and contractual management – Support cost control and contract administration, including variations, valuations, and financial forecasting to protect project margins and commercial objectives.\n\nRequirements\n\nMust have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background\n\nMust have 10+ years experience in a similar role (preferably on healthcare construction projects)\n\nMust be based within commutable distance of sites in Exeter and Plymouth\n\nBenefits\n\n£70,000 - £80,000 + Package
