Job Title: Mechanical Contracts Manager – Building Services\nLocation: Nottingham\nSalary: £70K + Package\n\nThe Role:\n\n * \n\n Overall management of a team of Project Managers delivering mechanical building services projects, primarily within the commercial office fit-out sector.\n\n * \n\n Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry requirements across all projects.\n\n * \n\n Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.\n\n * \n\n Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, including conditions, deliverables, and variations.\n\n * \n\n Manage contract changes, extensions, and terminations effectively.\n\n * \n\n Identify and mitigate contractual and project delivery risks.\n\n * \n\n Resolve disputes quickly and professionally, ensuring positive working relationships are maintained.\n\n * \n\n Monitor financial performance using CVRs and other reporting tools.\n\n * \n\n Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the project management team.\n\nThe Company:\n\n * \n\n Leading provider of mechanical building services, with a proven track record in delivering projects across the commercial office fit-out sector.\n\n * \n\n Well-established and trusted within the industry, known for high-quality workmanship and strong client relationships.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\n * \n\n 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Project Manager within building services.\n\n * \n\n Will hold a SMSTS/Black Managers Card\n\n * \n\n Demonstrated success in delivering projects within the commercial sector.\n\n * \n\n Highly organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple contracts simultaneously.\n\n * \n\n Proficient in contract management software (ideally Construct) and with experience in the air conditioning sector.\n\nWhat You’ll Get:\n\n * \n\n £70K + Package (DOE).\n\n * \n\n Company pension scheme.\n\n * \n\n 25 days holiday + bank holidays.\n\n * \n\n Opportunities for progression within a growing business.\n\nProcess:\n\n * \n\n Apply for the job.\n\n * \n\n We will call you to discuss the role.\n\n * \n\n If we think you’re a good fit and you agree, we will submit your CV for consideration.\n\n * \n\n If the client is interested, they will invite you for an interview.\n\n * \n\n If successful, you will be offered the position
