Mechanical Construction Manager in EC1

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a major £12m CAT B commercial office fit-out project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day site delivery of the mechanical package, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality expectations.\n\nThis role is ideal for a strong site-based manager with experience delivering fast-track commercial fit-out projects within live or high-profile environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Oversee day-to-day mechanical site operations\n\n * Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and labour\n\n * Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with programme\n\n * Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and quality checks\n\n * Review and implement RAMS and safe systems of work\n\n * Coordinate installation activities with other trades and disciplines\n\n * Monitor progress and report updates to the Project Manager\n\n * Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on commercial fit-out projects\n\n * Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, pipework, and mechanical building services systems\n\n * Experience working on CAT A / CAT B office fit-outs\n\n * Strong understanding of site health & safety and QA procedures\n\n * SMSTS and CSCS Manager Card essential\n\n * Excellent coordination and subcontractor management skills\n\nDesirable\n\n * Experience working in occupied/live commercial buildings\n\n * Knowledge of commissioning and handover processes\n\n * BIM and digital QA platform experience\n\nPackage\n\n * Competitive salary/day rate\n\n * Travel expenses/car allowance\n\n * Opportunity to work on a flagship commercial fit-out project\n\n * Strong pipeline of future work available
