We are looking for an experience Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a workshop team in Loughborough due to business growth. The business design and manufacture their own product distributing to clients across the globe.

\n

\n

\n

Hourly Rate: £12.50 (with increases based on experience)

\n

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

\n

Working Hours:

\n

\n
• \n

  Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

  \n

\n

• \n

  Friday: 7:00am - 1:30pm

  \n

\n

• \n

  Regular overtime available, including Saturday mornings

  \n

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• \n

  Mechanical assembly of low-voltage switchgear and control panels

  \n

\n

• \n

  Use of hand and power tools to fit, drill, tap, and align components

  \n

\n

• \n

  Reading and working from engineering drawings and build instructions

  \n

\n

• \n

  Quality-checking assemblies to ensure accuracy and compliance

  \n

\n

• \n

  Supporting wiring layout and enclosure preparation

  \n

\n

• \n

  Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

  \n

\n

• \n

  Participating in site work and installations across the UK, with occasional overnight stays

  \n

\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• \n

  Interest or experience in mechanical assembly

  \n

\n

• \n

  Confident in the use of hand tools and mechanical fixing methods

  \n

\n

• \n

  Ability to identify and resolve problems during the assembly process

  \n

\n

• \n

  Willingness to travel and work overtime when required

  \n

\n

• \n

  Strong awareness of health and safety practices

  \n

\n

• \n

  Able to work independently and as part of a team

  \n

\n

• \n

  Must have the permanent right to work in the UK

  \n

\n
