Job DescriptionJob Description

Our customer has a Mechanical Assembler job available. This is a three month contract due to a medical leave. You will be working with extruded aluminum framing systems.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Work with aluminum extrusion and framing components using basic hand tools and power tools.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation
• Rework/repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
• Perform work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
• Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe fashion

Qualification requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic computer navigation
