Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical products and subassemblies using a variety of tools and equipment while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bench-type assembly processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Fabricate products using equipment such as hydraulic presses and riveting machines
- Use hand tools, air tools, and power tools to assemble components
- Read and interpret assembly prints and technical instructions
- Complete tasks according to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications before moving to final stages
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing or assembly experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with the ability to work well across departments
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (fractions, decimals, measurements)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools and components
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
- Vision abilities including close, distance, and depth perception
