Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3–6 years of relevant mechanical assembly experience
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler II is responsible for performing intermediate-level mechanical assembly tasks on fan and pump components. This role involves working on a variety of assemblies, following established procedures, and making routine decisions under general supervision while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble machined components using standard mechanical assembly techniques
- Perform tasks such as riveting, hydraulic assembly, bonding, and torque application
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues with guidance from supervisors
- Rework and repair components to meet specifications
- Handle multiple assembly tasks across different product lines
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and products
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in reading technical instructions and basic documentation
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic mathematical skills including arithmetic, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to interpret basic charts and graphs
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with teams such as Quality, Engineering, and Production
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly exert up to 20 lbs of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks and handling physical workload in a manufacturing environment
