Job DescriptionThe Mechanical Assembler will assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment per required specifications in a specific area of a manufacturing organization.\n

Essential duties and responsibilities:\n
\n

    \n
  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • \n

  • Utilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun
  • \n

  • Maintain inventory of product in work stations
  • \n

  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
  • \n

  • Identify product defects and ensure supervision is notified
  • \n

  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment per instructions
  • \n

  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • \n

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • \n

Qualification requirements:\n
\n

    \n
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • \n

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • \n

  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • \n

  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • \n

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • \n

  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problems
  • \n

  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • \n

  • Technical or vocational training or certification a plus; may be required to pass basic skills test
  • \n

  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
  • \n

  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • \n

  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
