Job Summary

The Assembler/Tester A is responsible for assembling and testing moderately complex mechanical and hydraulic products to meet quality and on-time delivery goals. This role involves hands-on work with production equipment, inspection tools, and test systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing of mechanical and hydraulic components using hand and power tools
  • Conduct functional testing using equipment such as oscilloscopes, transducers, and flow measurement devices
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, route sheets, and test specifications
  • Record and analyze test data; identify issues and perform rework as needed
  • Assemble, test, and solder components to meet customer and industry standards
  • Perform subassemblies, lock wiring, and final detailing tasks
  • Apply finishing processes including touch-up or full surface painting
  • Ensure products meet quality specifications and inspection standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and FOD-free work environment
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • Assist in training junior team members as needed
  • Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2+ years of assembly and/or testing experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications
  • Experience with mechanical, electronic, and test equipment
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Familiarity with standard business systems and automated tools
  • Soldering certification may be required

Core Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing/production floor setting
