GEODynamics in Benbrook, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Mechanical Assembler.
Key Accountabilities:
- Performs standard assembly procedures, rework, and repair on manufactured equipment and products.
- Learns to use different tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications.
- Identifies faulty parts and conduct pressure tests on the assembled parts to ensure that they are functioning properly and are of good quality.
- Learns to maintain tools, shop, and equipment in good condition and keep shop and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and written instructions of engineers to assemble the parts or products.
- Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations
Qualifications, Experience, Skills/Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- Technical degree or vocational training .
- 2 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing mechanical assembly work.
- Basic level computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Outlook, MS Word).
- Basic to intermediate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role:
Bending, lifting, stooping, and standing greater than 50% of the time - Repetitive motion demands
Hands/wrist/shoulder. - Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds (over 50 pounds requires a team lift).
Work Environment/Environmental Conditions:
- Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
