Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy building quality equipment? We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our production team on first shift. In this role, you'll assemble industrial machinery and sub-assemblies while working in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Assemble machines, including sealers, tunnels, and machine sub-assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Pull required parts from inventory and complete assemblies accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, align, and install mechanical components.
- Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections of completed assemblies.
- Complete work orders, checklists, and other production documentation.
- Communicate with engineering regarding assembly issues or product improvements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.
- Help train team members as needed.
- Keep your work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–5 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for assembling mechanical components.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Good close vision and ability to focus on detailed work.
