Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineer (P.E.) – Lead a New Practice Area!

About the Role

Our nationally growing architecture firm is looking for a Licensed Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineer (P.E.) who is ready to step into a high-impact leadership position. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a brand-new MEP practice area within a thriving firm working with top commercial retail brands.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow our new MEP practice area.
• Produce full Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Construction Documents for commercial retail clients.
• Support Tenant Improvement (TI) and new construction projects nationwide.
• Conduct detailed jurisdiction-specific code research to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, structural engineers, civil engineers, and other consultants.
• Present and explain design options clearly to clients who may not have an engineering background.
• Apply creative solutions when unique conditions require innovative approaches to “make the space work.”
• Communicate professionally with a positive, team-oriented mindset.

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (accredited program)
• Experience preparing MEP construction documents for commercial retail projects
• Strong familiarity with TI environments and associated MEP design considerations
• Ability to perform code research for various jurisdictions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, client-focused, positive attitude (“glass half-full”)
• Ability to collaborate effectively and manage deadlines across multiple disciplines
