Your work will cover the full spectrum of mechanical and electrical maintenance on heavy-duty machinery, specialist vehicles, and associated systems.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nPerforming planned inspections, servicing, and overhauls on large mechanical and electrical systems.\n\nDiagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on braking, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.\n\nReplacing and installing components such as motors, actuators, switchgear, and control panels.\n\nFollowing technical documentation and schematics to complete maintenance to a high standard.\n\nCompleting condition checks, ensuring all work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards.\n\nMaintaining accurate records and working collaboratively within a skilled engineering team.\n\nThis role operates on a 4 on 4 pattern working 12 hours shifts, with regular overtime available.\n\nAbout You\n\nThis is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in heavy engineering or vehicle environments, such as HGVs, plant machinery, aerospace, industrial maintenance, or comparable sectors.\n\nYou will need:\n\nQualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering (Degree, C&G, HND or HNC qualifications).\nKnowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.\nProven experience maintaining or overhauling heavy equipment or vehicles.\nA reliable, safety-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.\nFlexibility to work shifts and support operational requirements.\nAll candidates must complete pre-employment checks, including a medical assessment, drug & alcohol screening, and DBS.\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\n£45-52k base salary + overtime \n\nFinal salary pension scheme\n\nStructured development and training programme, with modules attracting up to £1,500 each\n\nA safety-focused team culture and long-term career opportunities\n\nWe welcome applications from ex-Forces personnel (Army, RAF, Royal Navy) and experienced engineers from HGV, bus, automotive, aerospace, marine, and heavy plant backgrounds.\n\nNext Steps:\n\nIf you’re ready to take the next step in your career as a Dual Skilled Technician within heavy engineering, click APPLY or send your CV to (url removed)\n\nAfter applying, your CV will be reviewed, and if suitable, we will be in touch within 48 hours.\n\nSuccessful candidates will be invited to complete pre-employment checks prior to starting.\n\nGanymede is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
