Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Mechanic to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our welding equipment, machinery, and facilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and the emotional intelligence to work effectively with diverse teams. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment, machinery, and tools to minimize downtime and ensure peak performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to welding equipment.
• Inspect and maintain welding facilities and work areas to ensure safety compliance with industry standards.
• Keep detailed maintenance records, including documentation of parts used and service performed.
• Collaborate across departments to address maintenance and repair needs efficiently.
• Provide training and guidance to welding staff on proper equipment usage and care.
• Lubricate equipment by applying grease, oil, and other necessary fluids.
• Install and maintain hydraulic hoses, lines, cylinders, valves, and pumps with minimal supervision.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues on a variety of industrial equipment, including manipulators, cranes, and rolls.
• Replace gearboxes, gears, and valves for air, gas, and water systems as needed.
• Inspect and maintain fluid levels in mobile heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and cranes.
• Perform routine fluid and filter changes on equipment to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the warehouse.
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed to support team operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, welding equipment repair, or hydraulics is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, fostering a positive and solution-oriented work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, crouch, or work in tight spaces for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various outdoor climates and industrial environments.
