Job DescriptionJob Description

Taylor Staffing is seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic. Our heavy equipment mechanic will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing heavy machinery. This includes large and small earthmoving equipment, diesel engines, and gas engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustments
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
• Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
• Diesel engine experience
• Valid drivers license
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus!
• High school diploma or GED required, technical certification in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics
