M&E Planning Engineer – Infrastructure Projects (Midlands & North)\nAre you a proactive, forward-thinking experienced M&E Project Planning Engineer with experience of building Project Plans from 1st Principle ?\nDo you have M&E Qualifications?\nThis is an opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary joint venture delivering Mechanical & Electrical packages on one of the UK’s most high-profile Rail projects, while supporting a wider portfolio of Infrastructure works across the Midlands and North.\nThe Role\nAs a Mechanical & Electrical Planning Engineer you’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery, commercial viability, and resource optimisation of projects. You’ll be responsible for:\n * Preparing cost- and resource-loaded programmes covering full project scope.\n * Creating and maintaining robust, logically linked project schedules in P6.\n * Providing regular programme updates, reports, and client-facing reviews.\n * Monitoring progress with lookahead plans, site diaries, and regular site visits.\n * Conducting forensic planning, delay analysis, and EOT programmes.\n * Supporting tenders and commercial submissions with high-quality programme input.\n * Driving planning standards, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.\nWe’re looking for someone who brings:\n * A stable career history ( You will need to be able to give references)\n * Looking for a permanent PAYE career job\n * Reside within commuting distance of Birmingham\n * Background in M&E (mechanical or electrical).\n * M&E Project planning experience on infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.\n * Strong proficiency with Primavera P6.\n * Experience developing robust planning documentation and project controls.\n * A collaborative, decisive, and forward-thinking mindset with excellent communication skills.\n * Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or ICE contracts.\n * Engineering qualifications (Electrical/Mechanical ).\nWhat’s on Offer\n * Salary up to £85,000 + benefits (DOE).\n * Package includes: travel expenses, private medical, life assurance, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Perkbox perks and wellbeing access.\n * Exposure to landmark UK infrastructure projects with long-term career development.\n If you’re a skilled P6 Planning Engineer MEP experience looking for your next challenge in the infrastructure sector, we’d love to hear from you.
