M&E Managing Quantity Surveyor\nLocation: Maidstone (covering projects across Kent and London)\nSalary: Up to £75,000\n\nAbout the Role\nHill McGlynn is partnering with a reputable regional main contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across Kent and London. They are seeking an experienced M&E Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead and oversee all commercial aspects of M&E packages on multiple schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior professional to play a pivotal role in high-profile projects including residential, healthcare, care homes, retail, and fit-out developments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Leading the commercial management of M&E packages across multiple projects from initial procurement to final account.\n\n * Managing subcontractor and supplier relationships, including negotiations, procurement, and payments.\n\n * Overseeing cost control, valuations, and change management to maximize project profitability.\n\n * Supporting project teams with cost planning, risk mitigation, and value engineering.\n\n * Attending site visits and liaising with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure smooth delivery.\n\n * Ensuring all M&E works comply with health and safety standards and contractual obligations.\n\n * Mentoring junior QS staff and supporting continuous improvement within the team.\n\nAbout You\nThe ideal candidate will have:\n\n * Extensive experience as an M&E Managing Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a main contractor background.\n\n * Proven success managing large, complex M&E packages across sectors like residential, healthcare, and retail.\n\n * Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, procurement, and cost management.\n\n * Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.\n\n * Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.\n\n * Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.\n\nWhy Join This Company?\nThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor delivering landmark projects across Kent and London.
