Job Title: M&E Contracts Manager



Location: Runcorn + travelling to client sites required by project demand



Salary: Open to discussion (hourly paid) Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 per week up to 50 hours per week.



Hours: 7am - 4pm / 7:30am - 4:30pm. 38-40 hours per week plus overtime

Our client is looking for an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking engineering company that values innovation, collaboration, and employee development.



As an M&E Contracts Manager, you'll be the key point of contact for customers, managing projects from concept to completion. You'll build strong relationships, provide technical expertise, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Typical working-away patterns may include: Monday-Thursday or Monday-Wednesday

Key Responsibilities



Manage and grow relationships with existing clients while developing new business opportunities.

Provide technical advice and support throughout the tendering and sales process.

Prepare accurate proposals and quotations in collaboration with engineering teams.

Oversee project delivery, coordinating internal teams and subcontractors.

Monitor costs and profitability, ensuring projects meet financial targets.

Contribute to marketing initiatives and identify new opportunities in the market.

Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices.

What We're Looking For



Strong background in M&E engineering or MECI.

Proven experience in contract management and technical sales.

Ability to manage multiple projects on industrial sites.

Minimum 3 years in a similar role within engineering sectors (Water, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Manufacturing, Environmental, heavy industry).

HNC or equivalent qualification (electrical/mechanical apprenticeship).

Subject Matter Expertise in either: C&I, Automation or Hazardous Areas

CompEX 01-04 qualification (highly desirable)

18th edition

2391 testing and inspection

SMSTS / Project management certification
