MANAGER NOTES:
- On-site role at WHQ, WFH Fridays
- Degree not required, but ; a degree in engineering, analytics, or business would be helpful
- Python, SQL certifications would be nice to have, not required
- 2+ years’ experience in data analytics (more on the business side, less of a focus on engineering); retail industry experience would be helpful (not marketing analytics)
- Top must-have skills include being a problem solver and a team collaborator, as well as having strong Excel and Tableau skills
- Desired soft skills include someone who is a self-starter, a good communicator, and someone who is collaborative
- Good business experience (sourcing, procurement, cost analysis) would be ideal for this role
- Main focus for the first bit of this contract would be supporting the material transformation project, data reporting needs, and supporting enterprise initiative
- Will be working closely with about 10 people

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As an integral part of the Materials Strategic Sourcing, you’ll support an enterprise project “ Material transformation” to reduce material complexity to drive consumer right innovation and profitability. You’ll work on data analytics, strategy development & execution, and stakeholder relationships. You will illuminate insights based on materials, product, capability, and enterprise financial goals. You’ll learn about the key vendor base to optimize alignment and capabilities. You and your team will focus on delivering the goals for the season at hand and driving toward longer-term priorities.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In the MatSC organization, you will interact closely with the rest of your material sourcing and analytics partners on the Footwear. This role supports the important connections between the Material & Product Development, Sourcing, and Partner Management teams as well. This role reports to a Sourcing Lead on the FW Sourcing team.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1-2 years work experience & Analytical background
- Strong Excel and math skills
- Strong data visualization skills with Tableau
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Snowflake
- Python / R knowledge
- Alteryx experience
- Ability to comb through large amounts of data, analyze, draw conclusions, and present a coherent viewpoint
- Project management abilities
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, creative problem solver & want to get their “hands dirty”
- Able to think on their feet and articulate problems well
- Strong team player and ability to work with other teams
- Previous experience or coursework focused on procurement, operations, supply chain
- Track-record of demonstrating in entrepreneurial spirit in fast-paced environment
