As a Materials Supervisor, you will be responsible for the movement of materials through the plant and supporting production areas. This role is for the materials department in our Metal Fabrication Plant on the 1st Shift ( 7 am- 3:30 pm) with some overtime.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct hourly manufacturing workforce to meet company/departmental objectives.
  • Provide training and cross-training for all employees to ensure a versatile workforce.
  • Complete all routine paperwork, reports, timecards, and schedules in accordance with company/departmental objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and management
  • Support and implement management philosophy and vision.
  • Contribute and make recommendations to control and reduce departmental and overall costs.
  • Lead 6s and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Associate degree ; bachelor’s degree in business management/administration strongly .
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven team-building and supervisory skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and MS Office experience
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
