Materials Planning Manager\n\nFood Manufacturing\n\nLeeds\n\nMajor Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business in the UK, which is looking for a Materials Planning Manager\n\nAs a Materials Planning Manager, you will ensure the timely and controlled availability of packaging materials and products to support the production function\n\nThere is a full-time on-site role with the flexibility to work from home on a Friday\n\nKey Responsibilities of a Materials Planning Manager\n\nDevelop, lead and manage the Material Planning team - Drive the team's best practice, appraisal, mid-year reviews and personal development plans\nDevelopment of supplier performance monitoring systems and continuous improvement programmes\nReview all stock replenishment systems & processes with continuous improvement methodology\nFirst escalation point for poor supplier performance/supply shortage\nDevelop & maintain stock replenishment KPI Dashboard and communicate to key stakeholders\nPlacing contracts (4- 13 Weeks Demand) & call-offs (1-3-week demand) to cover forecasted volume and production plans\nCollaborating with Supply planning, Demand planning, PLM & Commercial to ensure all information is correct and present to enable call-offs and contracts to be accurate and timely\nFull end-to-end management of suppliers covering short- & long-term demand, expedition of materials where appropriate, chasing of short or late deliveries and any other queries that could arise in the day-to-day management of the suppliers.\nSupport S&OP / Mini S&OP process where necessary. \n\nSkills required to be a successful Materials Planning Manager\n\nPrevious experience in food manufacturing\nLeadership experience\nHighly analytical with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data in a simple and easy-to-understand format\nExperience in scheduling, planning or a related area, with strong knowledge of SAP/ERP/MRP systems \n\nMajor Recruitment is an employment agency working on behalf of our client.
