Job Description
Talent-UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Materials Planner on behalf of their client, a successful manufacturer in the Normanton area, the role is offered on a permanent basis, working days 8am-4pm, the role offers great benefits with ongoing training and development.\n \n The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production. The role sits within the supply chain function and reports to the Operations Manager.\n \n Core Responsibilities:\n \nCreating and maintaining material plans based on production schedules and forecasts. \nMonitoring inventory levels and preventing shortages or excess stock.
\nUsing ERP systems and Excel to manage material data and reporting. \nCoordinating with production, procurement, and logistics teams. \nAnalysing supply chain performance and identifying bottlenecks.
\nManaging purchase orders, delivery schedules, and material documentation. \n Key Skills & Experience Required\n \nExperience using ERP systems. \nKnowledge of supply chain planning and inventory management.
\nStrong Excel and numerical skills. \nGood organisational and communication abilities. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\nManufacturing or logistics experience is advantageous. \n Desirable Attributes\n \nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement. \nStrong computer literacy.
