We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials required for production. You will collaborate with suppliers, monitor inventory levels, analyze demand forecasts and coordinate supply chain activities to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking. This position plays a critical role in supporting smooth production processes and achieving organizational goals.
Daily, onsite attendance is required at the job's location in Anderson, Indiana.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyze production schedules and forecast data to determine material requirements
· Generate and maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules in SAP
· Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and freight partners to ensure on-time material deliveries
· Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to avoid shortages or excess
· Manage inbound shipments and ensure compliance with customs regulations
· Support the preparation of import/export documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations)
· Work closely with customs brokers and logistics providers to track shipments and resolve clearance issues
· Maintain accurate lead times, safety stock levels, and item master data in SAP
· May require occasional overtime or weekend work.
· Support new product launches, engineering changes, and supplier transitions by participating in proactive raw material sourcing and purchasing efforts.
· Participate in inventory audits, cycle counts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED
- 2+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or logistics
- Knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, Incoterms, and import/export documentation
- SAP experience required; familiarity with other ERP/MRP systems is desirable
- Highly proficient in Excel and general data reporting
SKILLS AND ABILITIES - REQUIRED
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Prefer Experience working with customs brokers and international freight forwarders
- APICS/CPIM certification or equivalent supply chain training
- Must have 5+ years’ of intermediate to advanced computer proficiency with touch screens and computer applications to keep job pace aligned with work standards.
- Must have a high EQ, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must display initiative and be able to apply innovative problem-solving to challenges.
- Must have a proactive approach to work.

CAPABILITIES
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand both the verbal and written English .
- Able to perform two-handed computer and scanner work.
- Perform work safely in an office and warehouse that will have temperature fluctuations, including cold, heat and humidity.
