Materials Planner

Job Description

Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Material Planner with a strong background in MRP systems (Dynamics 365 ) and a working knowledge of BOMs and production planning. This role is part of our Supply Chain department and focuses on Materials Management, Purchasing, Expediting, Assembly Support, and Process Control.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Value Stream Planner and Plant Manager to manage raw material requirements, support production orders, and expedite inbound materials to ensure the successful delivery of products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Support the assembly team by ensuring part availability and treating assemblers as key internal customers.
• Monitor, check, and manage component availability for assembly production.
• Collaborate with suppliers (domestic and international) to confirm and expedite delivery dates as needed.
• Manage inventory through the MRP system, coordinating with Shipping/Receiving as necessary.
• Assist the Plant Manager in sourcing and scouting new suppliers to strengthen the domestic supply chain.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Buyer/Planner role; familiarity with Bill of Material processing a plus.
• Proficiency with MRP systems, particularly Purchasing and Warehousing modules.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Advanced computer skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience expediting and managing purchase orders.

Knowledge / Education

• Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP software .
• Ability to interpret technical drawings a plus.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain terminology.
• Background in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• High school diploma required; a 2- or 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field .
