Materials Manager | Fremont, MI
Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Oversee all procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Manage the materials planning process, ensuring timely availability of components for production.
- Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure efficient material flow and delivery.
- Utilize MRP/ERP systems for accurate data management, forecasting, and production scheduling.
- Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the materials planning and purchasing teams.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Proficiency with advanced data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with international sourcing and logistics.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
