Job Summary

The Materials Handler is responsible for the accurate and timely movement of materials from receiving through storage and shipment. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring materials, parts, and supplies are properly handled, recorded, and distributed in compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and parts
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• Verify shipments against purchase orders and invoices
• Maintain accurate records of received and shipped goods
• Identify and report damaged or incorrect materials
• Distribute materials to inventory locations and production lines
• Prepare and package materials for outbound shipment
• Post weights, shipping charges, and shipment documentation
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance (may require overtime or weekend work as needed)

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant materials handling, inventory, or stockroom experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory control
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365
• Previous material handler experience
• Organized and detail-oriented work style

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment
• Experience using small hand tools
• Comfortable working in a structured and supervised environment
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic database systems
