Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Description: Job Summary:
The Materials Handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations. This position reports to the Operations Manager but is provided day-to-day guidance by the Production Team Lead.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
\tNone.
Duties/Responsibilities:
\tReceives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
\tTransports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
\tCoordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
\tCollects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
\tAssists with production duties where required.
\tPerforms other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
\tExcellent verbal communication skills.
\tExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
\tGood math and written communication skills.
\tEfficient time management skills.
Education and Experience:
\tHigh school diploma or equivalent .
\tAbility to obtain forklift certification required.
\tSome experience working in a manufacturing operation is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
\tMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
\tMust wear safety gear, such as glasses and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
