Material Handler - Portland, OR

Sightline Intelligence is the leader in onboard video processing. Sightline is seeking a talented candidate to join our empowered team of hardware and software professionals, dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our growing customer base. Sightline is an agile, innovative company developing onboard video processing systems for the autonomous vehicle industry (UAV, drone, robot, etc.). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is eager to make a significant contribution.

Purpose of Position

Based in the Portland office, this role supports manufacturing and production operations by receiving, organizing, preparing, and delivering materials to designated work locations.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Inventory Control: Label, Stock and record location of material.
• Receiving: Verify incoming deliveries against packing slip and purchase order
• Picking orders and delivering the necessary material to work locations.
• Prepare and assemble materials following sales order directions.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and standards.
• Maintain accurate records in production file systems.
• Preform inventory cycle counts.
• Participation in group manufacturing projects.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• Ability to learn quickly.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer skills (word processing, email, spreadsheet data entry, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Standing and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Beneficial Experience (not required)

• Experience with small electro-mechanical assemblies and ESD best practices.
• Conduct PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) incoming inspection.
• Assisting internal customers with material requests, and escalation of material needs.
• Working at a small company or in an agile environment.

Benefits

Compensations range from $19 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.

Compensation includes salary, 11 paid holidays, PTO (20 days earned over the first year), health insurance (100% Sightline covered for HDHP with HSA). Premiums fully paid by Sightline for dental, vision, and life/ insurance. 401(k) matching, Sightline paid OR PFMLI coverage, schedule flexibility, parental leave, and education reimbursement.

Sightline Intelligence has three offices: Hood River, OR, Portland, OR, and Brisbane, Australia. The Hood River office includes sales, software engineering, and support teams. Our Portland office includes manufacturing, software, hardware engineering, and QA teams. The two offices are in constant communication and get together regularly to discuss ongoing projects and new opportunities. We work in an open office setting, actively communicating about projects and customers throughout the day.
