Materials Handler I

Position Summary

The General Laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks to support daily operations, including physical work, basic maintenance, and assistance to skilled trades. This role requires reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent  
• Prior labor or warehouse experience but not required
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and dependability
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs 
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working in various environments (indoor, outdoor, heat, cold, etc.)
• Ability to use hands and tools effectively

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general physical labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintenance of work areas
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks on time
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Support skilled workers with projects as needed
• Report hazards, accidents, or equipment issues promptly
