An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Materials Expeditor to join a busy Supply Chain team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely supply of materials and components to support production schedules and customer demand within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Expedite materials and components to ensure production requirements are met.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and proactively chase outstanding purchase orders.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages and potential supply risks.
- Maintain accurate purchase order information within the ERP/MRP system.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Planning and Production teams to ensure material availability.
- Provide regular updates on delivery status and resolve supply issues promptly.
- Support inventory management and minimise material shortages and disruptions.
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience
\n

- Previous experience in a Materials Expeditor, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Materials Planning role.
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable.
- Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
